Warm air at the vents, ice on the lines, or a breaker that keeps tripping isn't a wait-it-out problem when De Kalb, TX temperatures climb. Pressure, amp draw, and coil condition all get checked before any part gets quoted.
Topping off refrigerant without ever finding the leak is one of the most common ways De Kalb homeowners get overcharged. We pull static and running pressures, check superheat and subcooling against factory spec, and use electronic detection to find the actual leak, because a properly repaired leak outlasts three top-offs.
Non-negotiables on every cooling call.
Refrigerant work is always performed by certified technicians — a legal requirement we take seriously.
No-cool situations jump the schedule, most De Kalb requests seen same-day in peak season, even during the busiest stretch of summer.
Whatever the repair, the quote holds before work starts.
Real detection equipment finds the source, not just a temporary patch.
The repairs behind most no-cool calls.
We locate, repair, and recharge to spec — not just refilled and sent on its way.
A compressor that hums without starting or pulls high amps gets tested at the windings and start capacitor before we recommend replacement.
Ice on the evaporator coil points to restricted airflow or low charge, and we trace the root cause instead of just thawing it, not just defrost it and hope.
A failing capacitor is a common cause of a dead condenser, and it's usually a same-visit fix once confirmed.
Debris on the coil drives up pressure and shortens compressor life, so we clean and inspect during the visit.
Electrical faults can mimic total compressor failure, so we rule these out first to avoid an unnecessary replacement.

What people ask before we dispatch.
Usually a refrigerant leak, compressor failure, or a dirty condenser coil — we check all three and we test each before quoting.
Sure, but it won't stick — refrigerant is a closed system, so if the level dropped, it went somewhere specific, and we'll say so before you pay for one.
No-cool calls get priority routing, typically seen within a few hours, usually resolved within a few hours of your call.
It won't hurt anyone, but continued operation risks the compressor, so it's worth addressing quickly.
We primarily handle central AC, and can advise on window units.
The diagnostic fee buys real testing time, and it's subtracted from your bill once you approve the fix.
